Andrew Warhola (6 Aug 1928 – 22 Feb 1987)

Andy Warhol is an internationally celebrated American artist most known as the leading figure in the pop art movement of the late 1950’s. Some of his most notable works include “Eight Elvises” (1963) and “Campbell’s Soup I” (1968). He is one of the few artists whose works have commanded as much as $100 million in private auction. An eccentric man, Andy Warhol led a colorful life in the Manhattan art and social scenes of the 60’s and 70’s. He is also known for coining the phrase “fifteen minutes of fame.”
