Camren

Camren is an Americanized respelling of Cameron. Cameron comes from a medieval Highland Scottish surname and is derived from the Gaelic words “cam” and “sròn” which playfully translates to the nickname “crooked nose”. The Highland Cameron clan was celebrated for their courage and ingenuity, and their clan motto is a Gaelic phrase meaning “unite.” The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of Adam de Kamerun dated in the 13th century. In the Lowlands of Scotland, the clansmen are thought to have a territorial origin from the lands of Cameron near Edinburgh.
