Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green quietly started dating in 2004 when he was 30 years old and she was just 18. The pair got engaged two years later, then broke the engagement in 2009, got re-engaged in 2010 and finally married that same year. So technically these two have been together for almost 10 years (by Hollywood standards that’s, like, FOREVER). Megan and Brian joined their near-perfect DNA to produce a son on September 27, 2012. They named him Noah Shannon Green.
While honing her remarkable skills as an actress, Australian-born Cate Blanchett somehow managed to endure nine months of pregnancy and one day of childbirth a total of three times. All the while, we’re sure, juggling a busy career as a Hollywood A-list actress. Good’on ya, mate! Cate’s husband since 1997, play and film writer Andrew Upton, supplied the actress with Y chromosomes to make three baby boys. Dashiell John was born in 2001; brother Roman Robert followed in 2004 and last came Ignatius Martin in 2008. Cate is obviously a woman with taste and individual flair. None of these names is anywhere near overused or trendy. Dashiell was likely inspired by Dashiell Hammet, American author of “The Maltese Falcon†and “The Thin Man†classics. Roman and Ignatius are both old-school Latin names for the very erudite. Classy, cool and ultra-yet-anti-conventional.
Super-est of all supermodels Gisele Bündchen has finally decided to share some of that God-given DNA of hers along with her tall and handsome football star husband Tom Brady (I think we can speculate that these kids will be even more gorgeous than the Brangelina brood). The couple has a son born on April 5, 2009. They named him Benjamin Rein Brady (the middle name is in honor of Gisele’s grandfather Reinaldo). Ben Brady, simple and cute. It’s also being speculated that Gisele is pregnant with her second child but this has yet to be confirmed. Tom Brady has a son from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan (John Edward Thomas Moynahan).
Seriously, can this couple get any cuter? For any of you who follow “Giuliana and Bill†(the couple’s reality TV show on the Style Network) then you’re well informed of their string of tragedies and disappointments. All of which they handle with poise and grace, and a surprisingly amount of upbeat and positive attitudes. Yes, they are both good-looking and successful, but life for them hasn’t exactly been a picnic lately. Giuliana battled breast cancer and together they went through failed attempts at pregnancy and IVF. It’s entirely impossible not to root for this charmingly honest couple who are just down-right good, solid people. Their dreams came true on August 29, 2012 when their son Edward Duke Rancic was born via surrogacy. They named him Edward after the baby’s paternal and maternal grandfathers (Edward and Eduardo, respectively). It seems they may be using Duke as the boy’s everyday name. Duke is, of course, a title of nobility and means “leader”.
This gorgeous woman keeps pumping out the babies and comes out the other end looking even better. So not fair! She’s the type of woman every man lusts after and every woman wants to be. She’s got that super-sex-appeal while still seeming like a girl’s-girl. Brooke has four kids by two different marriages. Her first marriage with plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher produced two daughters: Neriah and Sierra Sky. Brooke is now married to French singer and actor David Charvet and they have two children together. Daughter Heaven Rain was born in early 2007 and Brooke finally got her first son when Shaya Braven was born (March 5, 2008). Yes, her names are a little off-beat and hippy-dippy California, but we have to admit, they seem to fit perfectly with Burke’s sunny laid-back California personality.
Sheryl Crow grew up in Missouri and now lives in Tennessee so it’s no surprise she has a little cowboy in her. And the names of her sons reflect this. After the demise of her engagement to Lance Armstrong in 2006 (purportedly because she wanted kids and he didn’t), Sheryl decided to take matters into her own hands. In May 2007 she adopted her first son who she named Wyatt Steven Crow. Clearly enamored with motherhood, Crow brought another baby boy into her modern family in 2010; she calls him Levi James Crow. Both boys are born under the sun sign Taurus – that should keep you good and busy for the next 18 years, Sheryl!
There’s no doubt about it. Cindy Crawford’s kids (with her handsome husband Rande Gerber) are already gorgeous. Probably among the best-looking kids in Hollywood. Her son Presley Walker Gerber was born in 1999 while her daughter Kaia Jordan Gerber followed in 2001. Both are original name choices which have never seen significant popularity (although Presley does remarkably well for baby girls today). Presley is probably inspired by Elvis, and Kaia is a Norwegian diminutive of Katarina (i.e., Katherine).
Whether you agree or disagree with this woman’s active stance on autism, you have to hand it to her: she’s a real lioness mom. Her son Evan Joseph Asher (b. 2002) was diagnosed with autism as a toddler and Jenny has been outspoken on the subject ever since. She even stated in her book that her divorce resulted in her husband’s (and Evan’s father) inability to cope with the special needs child. Although it’s clear that Ms. McCarthy can deal with anything. Our prayers and belly-laughs are always with you girl!
Superstar Will Smith has a total of three children by two different women. He married his first wife relatively young (around 24) and they had a son officially named Willard Christopher Smith III (named after Dad) but he’s called Trey. Smith remarried a second time in 1997, this time to popular actress Jada Pinkett. Together Will and Jada had a son and then a daughter: Jaden Christopher Syre (b. 1998) and Willow Camille Reign (b. 2000). Both children have started acting and/or singing careers themselves. And Willow is a well-known fashionista. The parents have been criticized for over-exposing or exploiting their children to the Hollywood scene a little too early. We guess the same could have been said about Shirley Temple’s mom.
What’s a celebrity baby naming list without Frank Zappa, the Father of Weird Baby Names? Rest in peace great musician, but before he passed away, Zappa procreated four times. His children’s names? Get this. Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen Zappa. Kind of makes Pilot Inspektor and Moxie Crimefighter look rather tame, you think? Frank Zappa was bestowing weird names on his kids before many of the celebrities we know today were even born. Let’s just say this guy paved the way.
