Cher used to have one daughter and one son; now she has two sons. In 1962 Cher hooked-up with Sonny Bono when she was only sixteen and the two went on to have a successful singing and television variety show career. Chastity Bono was born in 1969. We wonder if Cher was either being ironic or if she was thumbing her nose at conventional society by using the virtue name signifying sexual purity. Later, Chastity turned out to be a transgender man and changed his name to Chaz. After divorcing Sonny, Cher went on to marry musician Gregg Allman (of the Allman Brothers fame). They had one son named Elijah Blue Allman in 1976. Cher may have been a trendsetter with the “Blue†moniker now that Beyoncé and Jay-Z named their daughter Blue Ivy, Alicia Silverston named her son Bear Blu and back in 1989 the U2 guitarist known as The Edge named his third daughter Blue Angel.
