William Shakespeare (26 April 1564 – 23 April 1616)

William Shakespeare – Good ole William Shakespeare. It’s impossible to summarize this man in one simple paragraph. Needless to say, he’s widely considered the greatest contributor to modern English literature. His 38 plays (consisting of tragedies, histories and comedies) are thematically timeless and so accurately reveal the universal human condition, that they have been translated into every known language outside of English. Further, no other playwright has had their works in more stage productions. To read, understand and appreciate Shakespeare is to love life and laugh at its absurdity at the same time.
